Tankerton Beach
Located to the east of Whistable harbour. At the head of the bech is a path running the length with a grassy bank, ideal for picnics. The beach itself is shingle with regular groynes. Unusually, at low tide a shingle spit appears known locally as 'the Spit' and you can walk out to sea (watch out for the tide though)
